Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express

Airliners.net Photos: Untitled Bombardier BD-700-1A10 Global Express

This is a Bombardier BD-700 Global Express - a Private Jet - in a dazzalingly subdued livery. The 700 Global Express is the same airframe as the Canada Air Regional Jet (CRJ)-700, a seventy seat passenger jet. Perhaps you've been on one if you've flown on a smaller plane with either United or Delta (with whom my wifes company SkyWest inc. partners with) as well as many other airlines as the CRJ series is by far the most prolific of regional aircraft. It dominates the fleets of Comair, ASA/SkyWest, and many other airlines. They are usually found in a 70 seat configuration, sometimes they will sport a multiple class cabin. The CRJ-700 and the BD-700 Global Express seen here compete with the comperable Gulfstream V.

This photo is especially interesting to me as it was take at SNA (Santa Ana/John Wayne) airport. It's one of my favoirte places to fly in and out of and in fact, I will be flying there in a few weeks.
